Aims

The Board of Mangement of Kilmyshall N.S. supports and facilitates the planning and implementation of the curriculum. It promotes partnership in the educational and organisational processes of the school and supports and monitors the physical well-being and characteristic spirit of the school.

The aims of Kilmyshall National School are summarised as follows:

- to enable children to become lifelong learners

- to help each pupil to realise his/her full potential

- to enable children to develop personally and socially, to relate to others with understanding and respect, developing spiritual, moral and religious values thus depicting a respect for cultural difference and appreciation of civic responsibility and an understanding of the social dimension of life past and present

- to enable children to develop their creative, imaginative and physical capacities through artistic expression and a range of movement skills

Links are fostered with the wider community of the parish of Kilmyshall/Bunclody through sporting, cultural and spiritual activities which promote integration and participation in all aspects of community life and develops relationships with other members of the community.
