We planted hyacinth and crocus bulbs in pots in our classroom on September 11th. We also planted some bulbs outside so that we can compare the growth rate.

We are carrying out an experiment to test what grass seeds need to grow. We have four pots of compost with seeds planted in them.
Pot 1 gets light but no water. Pot 2 gets light and water.Pot 3 has no light or water and pot 4 has water but no light.

Check in with us from time to time to see how our bulbs are progressing and to find out the results of our experiment.
In November our hyacinth bulbs had all sprouted but only two crocus bulbs sprouted.
In December we could see the flowers starting to grow and when we returned to school in January our hyacinths were in bloom. Also some more crocus bulbs had sprouted. As yet the bulbs we planted outside have not started to grow.
